Food,  Out and About

We recently visited Malmaison, Newcastle Quayside for a girly weekend. The location, hotel rooms and food were very good. We all enjoyed the treatments in the spa but we did miss a swimming pool or even a jacuzzi.

When we arrived there were some complimentary truffles (they looked handmade) in the room. They were delicious, even if they were about a million syns each.

We had a cocktail each in the bar (part of the deal). I had the Painkiller, it was delicious and certainly the tastiest out of the four.

After coctaiks we we were taken into the restaurant. I had the beef brisket dish. Delicious – definitely a 10 on the tasteometer.

The breakfast selection was also good.

We thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, food, location and spa treatments and will definitely be back.

As we stayed Saturday night we also had the opportunity to visit the Quayside Market which is definitely worth a visit. You can purchase a range of artisan objects, unusually gifts and taste food from around the globe. It’s a lovely walk along a much renovated and very pleasant part of the city.
