School’s out ...

for summer – day 3

A relatively quiet morning after the exertions of the last couple of days. Breakfast at my sister’s house, a stroll around her village, back for coffee and then home.

Ten pin bowling in the afternoon. A living Social deal for the six of us – four adults and two children. We hadn’t visited the MFA in Sunderland previously and we were impressed by the offer and the facilities. A good time was had by all from the 3 year old to the 66 year old. Our only comment would be that two games were a wee bit excessive as with six people playing, one game took an hour and the children got a bit restless during the second game. They wanted to investigate the slot machines etc on site.  I would probably suggest either playing one game or book two lanes. But in generally we thoroughly enjoyed and we would go back.
