Let’s get started

Hi my real name is not Daisy but I like the name so that’s why I chose it for blogging purposes only (I originally wanted Tinkering Belle because I love Tinker Belle but that blog name was taken and my son said it sounded rather pornographic anyway) So forever more I shall be known as Daisy in blogging land.

Well I suppose I need to address the question of why I want to blog. The thing is I like to write, I attend a creative writing course each week which I love. I also like to knit things, crochet things, embroider things, cover things, change things, shorten things, make things from the bits I cut off etc etc and I thought I could share this with anyone who’s interested. It is my idea to share the things I do and maybe inspire others to make things too. Don’t throw it away make it into something else. I also like quotes too so I’m going to have a quotes section.

Oh and I also like doing different things with photographs. We have a new grandson who is the most gorgeous baby boy on this earth (and probably the most photographed!) we also recently inherited another gorgeous grandson so that makes two. I have lots of scrap books I make with the photographs I take of the boys but I can’t post those because the youngest ones mum woudn’t be happy.

I’m also following blogs on making sketch books at the moment as I’d like to add that skill to my repertoire. I’m following jenniemaizels.com she is a fabulous ‘sketch booker’

We are also big foodies so I’d like to share places we visit.

Girlie weekends are also on the agenda – they often include a spa visits and copious amounts of wine.

Going back to the blog name I’m not lazy it’s just DaisyDoes was taken.

Well who am I?

I’m a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother etc etc. I used to be a primary school teacher, until the pressure got to me so I now work in an office.

Quote of the day: “It’s never too late – it’s never too late to change your life, never too late to be happy.” Jane Fonda

Oh I forgot I like collecting children’s books and I’d love to be able to sketch. I’d also like to illustrate my own books but alas I think that is a skill which will evade me.
